Summer Land Steward

Summer Land Steward is an hourly, seasonal paid position that reports to TILT's Stewardship Coordinator.

The Summer Land Stewards assist TILT trustees and staff to better serve TILT's mission. During summer months, TILT expands its property management on wildlife preserves, conservation easements, and recreational facilities and trails. The Summer Land Stewards' responsibilities include: assisting staff with conservation easement management; helping to manage and maintain all TILT- owned recreational facilities and trails; assisting with outreach through TILTreks and KidsTreks and summer events; and office support. All summer staff have the opportunity to learn about the workings of a land trust, become familiar with local ecology, and gain experience in land stewardship and management techniques.

To apply for a Summer Land Steward position, read the job description, download an application, print it out to fill it out, and return it to Brandon Hollis, Stewardship Assistant,

Deadline for applications is usually around mid-March of each year, with Summer Land Stewards starting work around Memorial Day weekend.
