Jim Rendall

Jim Rendall died peacefully in his sleep on December 9, 2007 at his home in Newtown, PA. Jim was born in Ogdensburg, and was a life-long summer resident of Chippewa Bay. He became a trustee of theThousand Islands Land Trust in 1998 and served for four years. "He was a lightening bolt for this organization," said founder and trustee, Ken Deedy.

Jim was a key player in the creation of the Crooked Creek Preserve, and further aided the organization with his financial expertise.

Jim had a marvelous sense of adventure, a profound regard for the natural world, and a deep love for the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands. "He long appreciated the work of the Thousand Islands Land Trust and was one of the key reasons I began working with TILT," said trustee Jeff Burt. "Jim will be truly missed."
