Participants on the February 14, 2010 TILTrek Snowshoe Walk enjoyed a gorgeous morning on the Macsherry Trail in Crooked Creek Preserve. The group spotted a Pileated Woodpecker, White-tail Deer, and walked out on the beaver impoundments to observe evidence of beaver activity. They also talked about the variety and differences in tree species along the trail as it winds through marshland, lowlands, and over ridgelines. The walk was sponsored by the Thousand Islands Land Trust as part of their TILTreks & Talks series.
