Come celebrate 25 years of land conservation with the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) on Saturday, July 17th from 6-9pm at Zenda Farm Preserve. TILT is marking this special occasion with music, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and friends under a canopy at Zenda, and everyone is invited!
TILT was founded in 1985 by a group of Thousand Islands residents who had a vision of preserving the river’s natural beauty and unique environment. Since then, TILT has grown to help conserve nearly 8,000 acres of land throughout the Thousand Islands region. Many donors and volunteers have worked to ensure that the “natural beauty, wildlife habitats and recreational opportunities” of the Thousand Islands remain intact for future generations. The last 25 years of conservation will be chronicled in TILT’s “Walk Through History” photo presentation set up around the canopy.
The 25th Anniversary Celebration will feature a live auction where guests can bid on unique experiences that explore the River and the Thousand Islands. A few of the items for bid are: a plane ride with Art Mack, a boat ride and picnic at Singer Castle with John Cardamone, and a weekend in Ottawa with museum tickets at the condo of Susie Smith. These one-of-a-kind auction items are for a limited number of people, so bid high and bid often!
Tickets for the 25th Anniversary Celebration event are $75 per person. To sign up for this memorable evening, call the TILT office at 686-5345 or email events@tilandtrust.org. The deadline for reservations is July 16th.
