Potter's Beach isn't actually a hike, but it is a great place to visit with your friends or family. It is the only naturally occurring sandy beach in the Thousand Islands and it is located at the head (upriver end) of Grindstone Island.
On a hot summer day, you will find many boats anchored in the bay and lots of people swimming, playing and enjoying themselves.
TILT purchased the beach in order to keep it open to the public. It has been a favorite recreational spot for many generations.
The beach and the island are accessible by boat only. Be sure to have a navigational chart with you if you are unfamiliar with the river.
