The family-friendly Bird is the Word hike will feature a fun, interactive birding walk for kids of all ages.

Children will learn about resident and migrating songbirds while practicing entry-level identification skills.

Don’t forget your binoculars, a few sets will be available to borrow. Experienced, novice, and brand-new birders of all ages are encouraged to join us!

Birds rise above it all! The Smith Bird Trek Series is a two part program named in memory of our favorite “Bird Nerd” and consulting Ornithologist, Sherri Smith.
