TILT’s New Website, Celebrating 40 Years of Conservation in the Thousand Islands

The Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new website — tilandtrust.org —offering a fresh, user-friendly experience and celebrating 40 years of conservation success in the Thousand Islands region.

With its enhanced functionality, the website will make it easier for supporters to engage with TILT’s ongoing conservation efforts, from becoming members and contributing to vital restoration projects to volunteering in the community. Additionally, the site highlights various ways of giving, allowing supporters to choose the method that best aligns with their commitment to safeguarding the region’s land, waters, and wildlife. This platform also plays a crucial role in elevating and communicating our mission, ensuring that the importance of conservation is clearly shared with current and future generations.

“This new platform allows us to better tell the stories of conserving the places we all love and the people who’ve made it possible,” said Terra Bach, Director of Development and Communications at TILT. “We’re incredibly proud of this website—it’s a captivating space that reflects the beauty of the landscape and powerfully conveys why protecting these lands and waters matters. And there’s no better time to share that message than on our 40th anniversary.”

Visitors to the site can now explore a timeline of TILT’s key milestones and conservation achievements, including details about community events, landmark land acquisitions, trail openings, and restoration projects. The redesigned Preserve & Trails section has been transformed into a vibrant, photo-rich guide to help people discover new places to hike, paddle, and explore. Throughout the site, stories highlight the partnerships and individuals who have shaped TILT’s work over the past four decades.
