By volunteering, you’ll support TILT’s conservation mission to preserve the region’s ecosystems, ensuring water quality, recreation, and scenic beauty. You’ll also gain in-depth knowledge of TILT’s Preserves, learn land management skills, and connect with the TILT team and fellow volunteers.
Common Opportunities:
Preserve Stewardship: Help maintain and improve our beautiful preserves by hiking trails and providing valuable information about: wetland health, trail conditions, invasive and indicator species, overall health of the land.
Trail Maintenance Assistance: Get hands-on by building bridges, benches, and other trail amenities.
Special Events Assistants: Help make our events a success by assisting with tickets, food service, parking, and more.
Office Help: Support staff with mailings, phone calls, and administrative assistance.
Photographers: Capture the beauty of our preserves, treks, and events. We’ll proudly credit your work!
Trek Leaders or Lecturers – Share your knowledge and expertise with others through an outing and/or presentation.
Transportation: Provide boat transportation for island treks and events.
Group Participation: We welcome clubs, scout troops, school districts, corporate teams, religious organizations, and more.
