Start Your Spring Adventure at TILT’s Discovery Center

High school students explore the Discovery Center at 135 John Street in Clayton, learning about local trails, wildlife, and conservation before getting outdoors in the Thousand Islands. A hands-on stop that serves as a true gateway to the outdoors with TILT this spring.

As spring returns to the Thousand Islands, the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) invites community members and visitors to begin their outdoor adventures at the Discovery Center, located at the TILT office at 135 John Street in Clayton, NY.

The Discovery Center serves as a gateway to the outdoors, connecting visitors directly to the trails, preserves, and natural areas across the region. Inside, you’ll find maps, trail guides, and interactive resources that help you plan your visit and better understand the landscapes you’re about to explore.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime supporter of the Land Trust, it’s the ideal starting point to learn about local ecology, discover nearby hikes, and get inspired before heading outside. From shoreline walks to forest hikes, the Discovery Center helps turn curiosity into exploration.

Before you hit the trails, stop in and let it guide your next adventure, then head out and experience the land and water of the Thousand Islands firsthand. We hope you get both inside and outside with TILT this season.
